Serve Teams

According to Ephesians 4, the job of church officers is to “equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ”. For that purpose, we are organizing several “Serve Teams” to help facilitate ministry at Christ Fellowship.

Guiding Principles

1. Teams exist to create pathways, not silos.
• Ministry belongs to the whole church. Teams help equip the church, but ministry is not limited to teams.

2. Teams provide service, not leadership.

• Teams are not autonomous. Officers of the church retain spiritual authority and final responsibility.

3. Teams are personal, not pragmatic.
• Teams exist to love and serve people, not merely to accomplish tasks.

4. Teams are seasonal, not permanent.
• Teams may be reviewed annually, adjusted, or concluded to remain responsive to the church’s needs.
